Air Temperature: 61 Low / 74 High
Water Temperature: Low 82 High 86
Water Elevation: 356' (Winter pool 354' - Summer pool is 359')
Water Clarity: 3' to 4' visibility with green stain.

The biggest news I can think of is that it looks like we can finally start enjoying some fall-ish weather! Highs in the upper 70's and lows in the mid 50's for the next week. It's just what we need to get those Crappies moving and the bass chomping. For sure it'll be great weather to be on the water.

I apologize for my lack of reporting, it seems I've been working harder and making less and there just aren't enough hours in the day. I have been keeping my clients happy so if you'd like to view some pictures of recent catches you can do so by visiting my "Pictures" webpage. If you don't have the time for all these pictures I'll summarize for you:

MARCH and APRIL - I had more clients tell me that this was the best spring on Crappie they ever had.

MAY - The Bluegill and Red Ear started great but got messed up with a cold front.

JUNE - The Largemouth Bass fishing was phenomenal with larger fish than I've seen in many years. Crappie fishing was better than I thought possible for summer.

JULY - Catfish and Crappie fishing were unusually good. Bass fishing still good.

AUGUST - The white Bass action was reminiscent of many years ago with large schools of large fish busting bait on the surface.

SEPTEMBER - So far we've had some good days bass fishing but it's on the tough side. Crappie fishing has not been good. White Bass action has been good at times. Yellow Bass have been the most cooperative. Catfish have not been as good as usual for this time of year. I look for the bite to improve in the near future with cooler temps on the way.

I'll do my best to get you a more in-depth technique report in the near future.

See ya on the water.
