Air Temperature: 58 Low / 78 High
Water Temperature: Low 72 High 76.5
Water Elevation: 355.5' (Winter pool 354' - Summer pool is 359')
Water Clarity: 3' visibility with green stain.

WOW! Our water temp has fallen 10 degrees in the past week.
This is quite an abrupt change but is welcome for me and the
fish. It has been great just to be on the water this past week! I've
mostly bass fished with pretty good success catching
Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass.

I have noticed a big move by the fish towards the shallows and
into the bays. The most productive pattern for us has been
Carolina rigging a green pumpkin Creature bait on main lake
points, shallower flats on the main lake, and just off deeper banks
in the bays. Some of the creek arms have a lot of bass and
others seem to be void. Brush piles and stumps 6' to 14' seem to
be most productive. Luckily I Crappie fish and know where lots
of brush piles are. Spinner baits, jigs, and rattle traps around
brush would also be a good pattern. The bass we've caught the
last few days have been on a pattern very similar to April bass
fishing.

I'll be Crappie fishing the next few days and I'll let you know how
I've done. I do expect a better bite than a week ago, but I've
found that bass are the quickest to move with the seasons.

I've got some good photos of recent catches if you'd like to view
them go to my "Pictures" web page.

See ya on the water.
