Captain's Log

Air Temperature: Low 39 High 62
Water Temperature: Low 59 High 62
Water Elevation: 355.6' ( 354' Winter pool)
Water Clarity: Some areas very dirty, some areas fairly clear

CRAPPIE
Notes on Action: Action and size of the Crappie has been real good this past week. Seeing some shallow spawning fish.
What to use: Brightly colored tubes, curly tails, Bobby Garland shad bodies, and Strike King shad bodies fished on 1/16 oz jig heads are working for us.
Where to Fish: We have mostly caught our fish on dark colored banks 2' to 8' deep. Casting toward shore and slow retrieve.

LARGEMOUTH BASS
Points and pockets are producing. Crank baits on points and rattle traps in backs of bays and pockets. Jig on points and chatterbait in pockets is also a good option.

SMALLMOUTH BASS
Smallmouth Bass are shallow on pea gravel points in the bays and on the main lake. Crank baits, smaller swim baits and jigs will get some.

IT'S TIME TO GO FISHING!
